Also, Lake Chelan is only about a half hour away, so you can enjoy a number of water-related activities without traveling far. While charcoal and camp fires are not permitted on site because of the high risk of fire, campers can use gas camp stoves along with gas barbecues when they want to prepare meals.
While staying at Alta Lake State Park, you can go walking along two miles of hiking trails. You can also enjoy freshwater boating, fishing, swimming, and water skiing. Other enjoyable activities include golf, sailboarding, and birdwatching. It’s also the perfect spot for a picnic, thanks to its many picnic tables and kitchen shelter.
Another option in campgrounds in Wa state is Camano Island State Park. This 134-acre campground features more than six thousand feet of rocky shoreline and beach. Camano Island State Park is also known for its incredible views of nearby mountains—views that are simply breathtaking. If you enjoy harvesting shellfish, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to do so in this amazing parkland. Activities at the park are truly varied, including hiking, biking, boating, diving, fishing, sailboarding, clamming, and crabbing. Campers aspiring to become the next Tiger Woods will also enjoy the 18-hole golf course which is located nearby. This fascinating campground is the type of place that can hold your interest for weeks on end, given the fact that there is so much to see and do there.
